Zürs is a high-altitude resort reached before the Flexen pass above Lech. At over 1700 metres in altitude it has the properties of a high-level French resort, with ski-in ski-out convenience, but with a good selection of high-class luxury hotels.
Nightlife is not extensive, but a lively apres-ski scene starts as the sun goes down with ski groups who have travelled over from St Anton.
Zürs has its own ski school and kindergarten, as well as a selection of ski hire shops.

There is not much danger of getting lost in Zürs. The main buildings of the village and thus all of the accommodation are clustered along the main road after the Flexen Pass and before the descent towards nearby Lech.
All arrivals will be from the bottom end of the map - in other words, over the Flexen Pass from the main Arlberg Pass road, as the road through to the Bregenzerwald and the Lech valley is closed just beyond Lech in the winter months.
It is possible to use the Zürs chairlifts to ski on both sides of the valley, but the route around the 'circuit' to Zug and Lech and back to Zürs can only be done in a clockwise direction.
The lifts are easily accessible on foot or skis from all of the main hotels.

The Hotel Flexen offers a reasonably-priced option for a hotel stay in the Lech-Zürs ski area. Located near the main road on the side of a ski run, it is only a short walk to the ski lifts and the village facilities.
