Sölden has a good selection of hotels in the four and five star class, varying from traditional hotels in the centre of the village to some new developments on the quieter outskirts.
The concentration of upmarket hotel beds is in the village centre on both sides of the river which runs through Sölden, but there are also clusters around the Gaislachkogl cable car and some set slightly above the village in the Ausserwald area.
The Hochsölden area is a ski-in ski-out hamlet above the main town which is also reachable by road in winter.
Almost all visitors to the resort will arrive from the top of the map located above and to the left.
The main concentration of accommodation starts around the lifts up to Hochsölden, which are the first ones reached on the skiing side of the road.
The traditional village centre is near the church on the other side of the road in the area between the road and the river. Some of the bigger hotels are located in this area.
Hotels, bars and ski hire shops line the road through to the large lift building housing the Gaislachkoglbahn gondola and the fastest access into the ski area.
Shortly after the gondola station the road climbs and curves to the right before a junction offering the option of the Glacier Road (with access to Hochsölden) or the main valley road continuing up to Obergurgl.
Hochsölden has a decent choice of hotels located directly on the ski slopes but accessible by car, lift and bus.
