Driving to St. Johann

Salzburg Airport
Salzburg airport is the closest airport and the most straightforward route for car drivers. The route heads directly west from the airport into Germany and then across the Austrian border again before heading past Waidring to St Johann.

Innsbruck Airport
Innsbruck is a pretty convenient second choice of airport, with the motorway along the Inn valley making access to Wörgl simple and, from there, the route passes Söll and Ellmau on the way through to St Johann.

Munich Airport
Munich airport is also a fairly simple drive through to St Johann. The motorway heads west and then south through to Rosenheim and then cuts down to the Austrian border at Kufstein. Those who want the simplest routefinding will stay on the motorway until Wörgl and then follow the route above from Innsbruck airport. In good weather, more confident motorists might want to take the shortcut from near Kufstein through to Söll, which is definitely a ‘country road route’.
