Accommodation in Bad Hofgastein

Bad Hofgastein has a different ambience from its neighbour Bad Gastein. Both share thermal baths, “Kur” promenades and spa centres, but Bad Hofgastein is far more a typical type of Austrian village with a good mix of luxury through to family hotels clustered around a central pedestrian area.

Most of the accommodation is located in this central area located on the other side of the main road and river from the ski lifts. Befitting its status as a spa town, there are plenty of open spaces and greenery and the settlement has a completely different feel to some of the more compact ski villages higher up in the mountains.
