Sölden Region Facts

The Ötztal Arena Sölden is one of the best-known high-altitude skiing areas in Europe. The altitude (1.377 m to 3.249 m) and articifical snow preparations (35 mobile snow cannons covering 40km of runs) allow runs into the valley from the extensive ski area with 34 lifts and 150km of runs until well into the spring.

Sölden Winter OpeningSölden World Cup Ski Opening

The first events of the women's and men's Alpine Ski World Cup are being held for the 10th time in Sölden on October 27 and October 28, 2007. As is usual the Ski World Cup is to be opened by the Women's Giant Slalom on Saturday on the glaciers above the village.
