Ellmau and Going are two typical villages in the Tyrol which have developed from their rural days into an economy centred around mountain tourism.

Ellmau is the larger of the two and boasts a wider range of accommodation - in fact, it has two of the top hotels in the whole SkiWelt area - while still remaining a magnet for family skiers.
